When investigating several companies from Wólka Kosowska, controllers have uncovered fictional invoices for 310 mln PLN.
Massive abuses were encountered by Tax Control in Asian companies active in the Wólka Kosowska trade centre near Warszawa. The controllers were looking for hidden profits. The preliminary results of the operation have confirmed that the scale of the abuses is to be measured in hundreds of millions of PLN – “Rzeczpospolita” found out.
The centre is used mostly by Chinese- and Vietnamese-owned companies. It functions as a closed environment, which has long proven hard to control for the state. It was commonly assumed that many entrepreneurs active there pay no taxes, meaning that they can sell cheaper goods.
– Such practices distort competition, so tax authorities should use all available methods to combat such pathologies – says Jacek Brzozowski, adviser to the President of Employers of Poland.
