“Puls Biznesu”: Green light for e-consultation

The strategy of the Ministry of Health for 2016-2020 includes e-consultation. The industry hopes that legal uncertainties can be resolved.

Robert Mołdach, healthcare expert of Employers of Poland, although he believes e-healthcare to be the future, is aware that it is still in the very early stages of its development. Apart from a lack of relevant regulations, the attitude of medical professionals also does not help. The Znanylekarz.pl portal, where patients can rate doctors and make appointments, has recently faced the ire of doctors. However, investors are not easily discouraged – the portal has acquired 40 mln PLN of financing. Pharmaceutic companies are also attracted to e-healthcare – last year, Neuca, a medical distributor noted on the Warsaw Stock Exchange, bought Diabdis, offering solution for diabetics. Other pharmaceutical companies are also working on their own projects.
