Fruit farmers want to introduce a definition of Polish cider in order to save our market from the influx of cider imported by beer producers. They are supported by Ambra. What does Grupa Żywiec think?
– The regulation proposed by LSMC can be seen as an attempt to restrict competition and put a halt to growth in the cider market by introducing excessively high entry barriers for other producers – says Arkadiusz Pączka, deputy director general of Employers of Poland. – Moreover, such a solution will not boost apple sales, some of which currently get to juice producers and in this form can serve as a basis for cider production.
