Legislation Monitoring Centre
In Poland there is neither an internet portal nor an institution for employers responsible for monitoring the legislation process of regulations that determine the rules for business activity. At present employers  learn about changes in the law mainly from mass media or simply through the grapevine, usually with delay.

“Dziennik Gazeta Prawna": Partners and the government will introduce changes in the law

The first meeting of the Social Dialog Council may take place as early as October. The regulations pertaining to its functioning will come into force on September 11th.

Talks and consultations between the government and social partners are entering a new phase – starting  September 11th, the Trilateral Commission for Social and Economic Affairs will be replaced by the Social Dialog Council (RDS). The act on the Council and other social dialog institutions from July 24th 2015 is coming into force. It includes a broadened catalog of rights for employers’ organizations and unions participating in the works of the institution, such as a.o.: the right to prepare drafts of amendments to bills, the right to file motions for legal issues to be resolved by the Supreme Court and the right to direct inquiries to minister on broadly defined social and employment relations.

– The preparation of amendment drafts is  great responsibility. Therefore, I think the right to ask the Supreme Court to resolve legal issues will be used more often. There is no shortage of ambiguous employment regulations which could clarified – believes Monika Gładoch PhD, attorney at law, Adviser to the President of Employers of Poland.
