The Director of the National Tax Information Office (KIP) will have the right to change individual interpretations issued by the Office - such is the content of one of the amendment to the Tax Ordinance passed yesterday.
Mariusz Korzeb, tax adviser and expert of Employers of Poland: The new solution will undoubtedly facilitate the control of entrepreneurs’ tax returns by tax and treasury authorities. However, the Unified Control File - which will include information from tax books and tax evidence – will have sizeable value and therefore, be exposed to data theft. This may lead to decreased competitiveness and damaged reputations of the entrepreneurs who may have had their data leaked. The Ministry of Finance and tax offices should take up appropriate safety measures – ensuring the effective destruction of used IT equipment, protection against loss and theft, the acquisition of anti-virus software and Unified Control File (JPK) data protection workshops for employees.
