Legislation Monitoring Centre
In Poland there is neither an internet portal nor an institution for employers responsible for monitoring the legislation process of regulations that determine the rules for business activity. At present employers  learn about changes in the law mainly from mass media or simply through the grapevine, usually with delay.

“Dziennik Gazeta Prawna”: Mines are not a property of the government and unions

– The reform of Polish mining which according to government plans should also involve the energy industry is not an issue exclusive to the government and unions – President of Employers of Poland Andrzej Malinowski points out.

How should the agreement on mine restructuring be assessed? – Undoubtedly, the fact that the agreement was reached, preventing the escalation of a conflict which could potentially destabilize the whole economy, should be considered a success of Ms Kopacz – the President admits.

However, he finds it hard to resists the impression that the agreement achieved much less than the initial decisive government declarations suggested. – Sadly, the agreement does not solve the problems of Polish mining, an industry in need of courageous measures favourable for the whole sector – he assesses.

– When commenting on the agreement one should clearly stress that there can be no true, constructive dialog beneficial for the economy without taking Employers’ views into account – adds President Malinowski.
