Legislation Monitoring Centre
In Poland there is neither an internet portal nor an institution for employers responsible for monitoring the legislation process of regulations that determine the rules for business activity. At present employers  learn about changes in the law mainly from mass media or simply through the grapevine, usually with delay.

“Dziennik Gazeta Prawna”: There will be no agreement on pensions

We still do not know the rules of retirement. Social partners and unions have different expectations.

Employers of Poland do not agree to any changes. – Lowering pension age is not possible without increasing contributions and taxes. What is more,  proponents of shorter job activity still refuse to tell people the truth – such move will drastically lower pension benefits –  points out Andrzej Malinowski, President of Employers of Poland. – Women will be affected the most, as their pensions may drop by as much as 40 percent – he adds.

Entrepreneurs base their calculations on ZUS figures. They show that now there are ca. 14.5 mln people who pay pension contributions and 7.3 mln pensioners. – As we can clearly see, two people work for one pensioner. The working group for population aging in the European Commission and the EU Council estimates that in 40 years, there will be as many as 11 mln pensioners, while the number of contribution payers will drop to just above 11 mln. This means that each employed person would finance one pensioner – states Andrzej Malinowski. – Anyone who would like to decrease the pension age, should answer how such a system would function – he adds.
