In Poland there is neither an internet portal nor an institution for employers responsible for monitoring the legislation process of regulations that determine the rules for business activity. At present employers  learn about changes in the law mainly from mass media or simply through the grapevine, usually with delay.

“Rzeczpospolita”: Bureaucracy hinders growth


Freeing employers from the corset of bureaucracy will facilitate economic growth.


A report prepared by Grant Thornton shows that big companies have 300 reporting obligations, and that 2015 saw a record number of new regulations totaling 28 000 pages.


The objective of this year’s Polish Economic Congress is to elaborate mechanisms facilitating improved efficiency of the business environment in order to take full advantage of Poland’s economic potential.


One of the tangible results of the event will be a “white book” with recommendations for restricting bureaucracy which will be presented to decision makers.


Nine discussion panels were attended by government representatives, The topics covered included lawmaking, labour market, local conditions for business, financial market, public procurements, healthcare system, innovation, construction and tax law.
