“Dziennik Gazeta Prawna”: Unequal minimum wage

Employees on contracts of order will have higher minimum wages than those on contracts of employment, but it will not be valorized annually.

In July 2016, the minimum wage for an employee paid per hour (as long as the person in question is employed in a basic working time system and the day off in a five day working week is Saturday. Employers on contracts of order and the self-employed will have to be paid at least 12 PLN. They will make 166 PLN over a month. What does this difference stem from? In July, the aforementioned 12 PLN per hour minimum wage for the two groups will come into force.

According to employers, differentiation in minimum wage is a questionable step. – It may lead to unequal treatment of entities, which would be unconstitutional –  remarks Monika Gładoch, attorney at law and expert of Employers of Poland.
