It is time to think of real support for smaller companies. Nobody questions their extraordinary importance for the economy, but they are still left to their own devices when dealing both with powerful competitors and officials mechanically interpreting bad law.
The make up 98 percent of all economies entities, generate about half of the Polish GDP, employ about 70 percent of all employees in the private sector, providing 6 million jobs in total.
– Despite the 27 years of free market, administration officials still see SME the same way all private business was treated in communist times – with distrust and suspicion. Too many have maintained the spirit of the former political system and still follows the principles of the past – admits Andrzej Malinowski, President of Employers of Poland.
