New regulations and restrictions cause some entrepreneurs to be less optimistic in their outlook for the future. Moods in business are rather morose. According to a recent survey by TNS and Randstad, as much as 23 percent of companies indicated that they expected recession in the next half a year, while only 17 percent expect growth. The number of pessimists has not been this high since February 2013 – a quarter ago the corresponding figure was only 10 percent.
The Entrepreneurs’ Optimism Index, calculated by Employers of Poland, also shows that the mood is getting bleak. In February, the index of prognoses for the next six months fell to 93.8 points, the lowest figure since the inauguration of the index in March 2014.
