700 Polish companies applied for 200 places at the Poland-Kazakhstan Forum held on August 23rd with the participation of the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbajew.
— There is even more interest than during the visit of the President of China. Only today 15 agreements will be signed. Our Kazakh partners estimate the total value of all the contracts to be signed at 1 bln USD — says Marek Wetejko, responsible for the Forum in the Ministry of Economic Development.
There are many possible fields of cooperation. — These include a.o. waste management and municipal infrastructure, construction and construction materials, food industry. Kazakhstan has economic zones located near the Chinese border, which may provide Polish producers with access to the relatively unexplored West Chinese market, and near the Russian border – assesses Sławomir Majman, adviser to the President of Employers of Poland.
