Legislation Monitoring Centre
In Poland there is neither an internet portal nor an institution for employers responsible for monitoring the legislation process of regulations that determine the rules for business activity. At present employers  learn about changes in the law mainly from mass media or simply through the grapevine, usually with delay.

Do not go down this road

– Everyone knows that neglecting health may be costly. However, one can harm health in two ways. The first one, typical for most people, is to simply live in a way that causes their body to give in – President of Employers of Poland Andrzej Malinowski writes in “Rzeczpospolita”.

– Another way to ruin health is common among politicians, who are clumsy in their efforts to deal with healthcare issues. When I saw a report on PM Szydło’s talks with nurses, I was shaken. Beata Szydło, who I hope is in good health, seemed to show all the symptoms of the aforementioned condition – he adds.

He points out that no representatives of employers’ organizations were invited. – Without all three parties – employers, employees and the government – there can be no social dialog, particularly when it comes to the issue of wages. (…) Who organizes healthcare? Employers. Who employs people? Employers. Where do wages come from? From the contracts NFZ signs with employers. Unless PM Szydło wants to finance all raises from the budget, in both public and private entities, in which case –fair enough – Malinowski remarks.

– I am deeply convinced that problems in Polish healthcare can be solved peacefully and on the basis of facts. We are supportive of such a discussion. However, this will not be possible if some partners are excluded. Therefore, I urge decision makers not to go down this road – frankly, it is not good for your health.
