The Tax Office wants accountants to correct earlier declarations, regardless of the causes of these corrections. Changes proposed by the Ministry of Economy would allow entrepreneurs to correct income and costs on a current basis, which would make their lives easier.
– The regulation currently in force is a problem, particularly when entrepreneurs have to go back to an already closed accounting period, such as the previous year – says Mariusz Korzeb, tax adviser and expert of Employers of Poland. – They have to recalculate their tax obligations and file a new declaration.
