Mateusz Szczurek will find himself in a crossfire of questions regarding the controversial guidelines for tax office controls – writes “Puls Biznesu”.
Today, representatives of the biggest employers’ organization will visit the Ministry of Finance. They will meet Minister Szczurek and his deputies Jacek Kapica and Janusz Cichoń. Business is outraged by guidelines recently received by tax authorities. The Ministry expects 80 percent of tax controls to end in fines (30 percent in current statistics). Offices which do not meet these requirements will be punished with control team reductions.
– Recently, the Ministry of Finance has made many declarations of willingness to build trust between tax authorities and taxpayers. This memo has destroyed it. We will ask the Minister if he prioritizes short-term budgetary interests rather than the laws currently in force – says President of employers of Poland Andrzej Malinowski.
