Legislation Monitoring Centre
In Poland there is neither an internet portal nor an institution for employers responsible for monitoring the legislation process of regulations that determine the rules for business activity. At present employers  learn about changes in the law mainly from mass media or simply through the grapevine, usually with delay.

natemat.pl: You did not get a severance package from your boss? Check whether you are due “goodbye money”

– A 960 000 PLN severance package for the chairman of Kompania Węglowa certainly leaves an impression. As does 125 000 PLN for the mayor of Żuków. Media constantly run stories of large sums of “goodbye money” for chairmen, mayors, managers etc. Why did I never get a severance package from my ex-bosses? Because I did not deserve it or maybe it is because I never asked for one? – writes Krzysztof Majak.

In theory, absolutely everybody can ask for a severance package and establish the conditions either when a contract is signed or when it is dissolved. In practice, though, mostly high-level managers can count on severances negotiated at the start of a contract.

There is also a statutory severance, to be paid to employees with a contract of employment let go on the basis of regulations included in the act on extraordinary conditions for the dissolution of an employment relationship for reasons unrelated to employees from March 13th 2003.

As specified by Monika Zaręba, labour market expert of Employers of Poland, statutory severances are due for employees who were let go as part of a group reduction or individually for reasons unrelated to them if the company has at least 20 employees.
