”Rzeczpospolita”: Appeals will be a fiction. They will end up with the superiors

Starting April 1st, Directors of Tax Chambers are officially the employers of Tax Office officials. Lawyers, who specialize in taxpayer issues do not shy away from expressing doubts. They claim that the reorganization is a violation of the two-instance principle in tax procedures. Officials themselves are skeptical informs “Rzeczpospolita”.

– Merging tax offices with tax chambers will result in a situation where an appeal to a decision of the director of a tax office will be proceeded by his immediate superior. These changes mean that a reform of the procedure of appeals before the tax authorities is underway. We can expect that the Ministry of Finance will shortly present further unfavourable propositions, which will interfere with the relationship between citizens and the state to an even greater degree –  assesses Mariusz Korzeb, expert of Employers of Poland.
