The Council of Ministers has passed the draft of an amendment to the Labour Code restricting the use of fixed-term contracts. They will not be longer than three years – informs “Dziennik Gazeta Prawna”.
Employers point out that the limit may prove to be too long. – In such cases companies will use the exception, according to which employers may point to objective causes justifying the non-application of said limit. However, this may interfere with the main objective of the amendment – namely limiting fixed-term work – explains Monika Gładoch, attorney at law and expert of Employers of Poland.
