The acquisition of medical rescue vehicles is not subject to excise.
The introduction of such an exemption is justified by the use of ambulances in saving the lives and health of citizens. The amendment is a reaction to appeals for the excise on ambulances to be lifted.
Employers of Poland remind that initially the draft only involved an exemption for automobiles serving as specialized means of sanitary transport, intended to be used by medical rescue teams, specified in the National Medical Rescue Act.
– The proposed regulation would restrict the access to the exemption for some entities despite the fact that the vehicles they acquire would meet all the requirements – Mariusz Korzeb, tax adviser and expert of Employers of Poland, points out. The organization voiced the above mentioned concerns in the consultation process.
