Poland is one of the least senior-friendly countries – show the Active Aging Index. Poland, governed by the PO-PSL coalition, place second to last in the EU, with only Greece faring worse.

At a debate on the situation of seniors organized by Employers of Poland, prof. Bolesław Samoliński, Chairman of the Senioral Policy Council by the Ministry of Labour stated that some improvement was visible. We started to notice seniors, we are changing our attitudes towards them – he said. However, he said that in terms of business and healthcare the situation is not as good.

He was particularly concerned about healthcare. – If we address health issues at 65, it is too late, we have to start earlier and develop positive habits – he emphasized.
