This is the first institution in Poland established by the employers' organization to monitor domestic labour market. The projects' objective is to expand the role of Employers in sketching the labour market policy, which may improve its efficiency. The Confederation of Polish Employers (KPP) undertook this initiative in cooperation with the leading science centres such as the Cracow University of Economics or the Jagiellonian University in Cracow and with one of the social partners - the Polish Alliance of Trade Unions (OPZZ). The project entitled The Observatory of Regional Labour Markets is co-financed by the European Union from the European Social Fund within the Operational Programme Human Capital (2nd Priority, 2.1.2 Measure). The project was commenced on March 1, 2009, and it will be accomplished on February 28, 2011.
Thanks to complex and systematic collecting statistical data from Employers, the Observatory enhance their possibility of shaping education and active labour market policies. The first results of a poll, conducted among employers within the project, will be known by the beginning of the third quarter 2010. Then, series of debates on labour market from the Employers' point of view will be launched. The debates will be supported by the poll's results.
The Observatory of Regional Labour Markets maintains also an Internet portal www.obserwatorium.kpp.org.pl. It is an irreplaceable library of reports, researches, and statistical data catalogues. Everyone, not only entrepreneurs, scientists, or journalists can easily access the objective statistical data, which give a broad view of the Polish labour market. The access to the resources of the Observatory is free. Read more www.obserwatorium.kpp.org.pl
