Legislation Monitoring Centre
In Poland there is neither an internet portal nor an institution for employers responsible for monitoring the legislation process of regulations that determine the rules for business activity. At present employers  learn about changes in the law mainly from mass media or simply through the grapevine, usually with delay.

Laureates of the Vector 2010 Award

  • Leszek Czarnecki, the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Getin Noble Bank S.A. (Getin Noble Bank Plc)

He won the award for his consistency and iron discipline in the creation of the largest Polish private financial group - both through the launch of new projects such as the Idea Bank or PF Leasing and the takeover of the GMAC Bank Poland and the MW Trade listed company. The award was presented together with Puls Biznesu (Pulse of Business).


  • Grażyna Kulczyk, the owner of Stary Browar (the Old Brewery)

She won the award for the unusual combination of love for the arts and business gifts, and this resulted in a magical place - Stary Browar. The award was also presented for her active patronage over Polish culture and financing its development, and also for inspiring lots of generations of Polish and worldwide artists with a dialogue.


  • Jan Krzysztof Bielecki, the Chairman of the Economic Council of the Prime Minister

He won the award for his undisputed, creative contribution to the evolution of a market economy, the construction of Polish position in the international arena and economic rationalism. The award was also presented for managing the best interests of the state and its citizens in his twenty-year public service.


  • Aleksander Findziński, the former Managing Director of PGNiG (Polish Oil and Gas Company)

He won the award for his significant contribution to the development of the Polish oil and gas mining. The award was also presented for his long-term, crowned with success, efforts to upgrade and modernize the industry and knowledge, and skills that have been serving our economy for over four decades.


  • Andrzej Hass, the President of ESL Hass Holding Cypr (Cyprus)

He won the award for his business success, for building a firm of the established renown and a solid financial foundation. The award was also presented for undertaking to implement a variety of even the most difficult investment, and for his active participation in the development of Polish ferry shipping and liner.


  • Emilian Kamiński, the founder and Director of Teatr Kamienica (the Kamienica Theatre)

He won the award for proving that a good, true art can be a great business, also for his professional management of the enterprise called „theatre”. The award was also presented for his effectiveness in attracting sponsors and funds for Polish culture to support its young artists, and also for charity work.


  • Jan Lubiński, CEO of Read-Gene S.A. (Read-Gene Plc)

He won the award for the unique achievements in the field of innovative medicine, and for belonging to the elite group of the most eminent geneticists in the world of oncology. The award was also presented for his enthusiasm for research, implementation and commercialization of knowledge to detect and prevent cancer.

It won the award for the unique role it has been playing for more than five decades in Polish intellectual life, as well as in political, social and cultural life. The award was also presented for the influential, objective journalism, and continuing to present a coherent world view and a clear system of values.


  • Wojciech Balczun, the President of PKP Cargo S.A. (PKP Cargo Plc)

He won the award for his persistence, determination to work and his managerial excellence, as well as for the successful restructuring of PKP Cargo; this should be a model for other railway companies. The award was also presented for his ambitious program of investment and business expansion abroad, and also for his dialogue and respect for the social partners.
