The Polish Economy Congress (PKG), organized by Employers of Poland, was established as a platform for the exchange of ideas on ways to create the value of Polish economy in global competition.
The Congress is intended not only as an opportunity for expert debate on the actual needs of Polish economy, but also as a place where decisions key for its development.
The first Congress, attended by a couple of hundred guests, took place on April 23-24 2013, at the National Stadium in Warsaw. President of Poland Bronisław Komorowski was a honorary guest. During the first installment, politicians and entrepreneurs discussed the future of the Polish energy sector.
In 2014 the Congress will be held in October, yet again at the National Stadium. This year’s edition will focus on Employers’ of Poland efforts to achieve a synergy between Polish business and science. The Organization prepared a program entitled “Science for Business, Business for Science”, in which urged for economy, education and science to be integrated into an effective, coherent system. Employers of Poland invited hundreds of university rectors and business representatives to participate in consulting the proposed changes. Concrete recommendations, which will later be presented to the government, will be elaborated at this year’s Congress
