The jubilee, which was celebrated on September 7-11 2004, accompanied the annual meeting of the International Organization of Employers (IOE) and served as an occasion to present state orders and distinctions.
On the first day, IOE discussed the role of employers’ organizations in the fight against corruption. The following day, employers met with then President of Poland Aleksander Kwaśniewski, who honored 21 people with state orders and distinctions for their contributions to the development of Polish entrepreneurship and himself received a Vector award.
The Confederation of Polish Employers got involved in charitable causes. During a gala at the Belvedere Restaurant on September 9, three modern paintings presented by Marlena Wiblik’s gallery where auctioned, with the proceeds used to acquire a prosthesis for Ilona Jurczyk, cared for by the Fulfilled Dreams Foundation.
