In Poland there is neither an internet portal nor an institution for employers responsible for monitoring the legislation process of regulations that determine the rules for business activity. At present employers  learn about changes in the law mainly from mass media or simply through the grapevine, usually with delay.

The Regional Labour Market Observatory – 2009


The Observatory is the first institution monitoring the domestic labour market and was established by the Confederation of Polish Employers. It gathers researchers from the most important academic centres in Poland, a.o.: the Jagiellonian University and the Warsaw University and use the extensive knowledge and experience of the Organization’s experts.


Monitoring conducted by the Observatory consists of a.o. diagnosing the main factors impacting the demand and supply of labour and analyzing current and future trends. Employers’ preferences and their expectations with regards to cooperation with institutions responsible for the development of the Polish labour market are also taken into consideration. The Observatory is intended as a source of valuable information about local labour markets for entrepreneurs.
