Legislation Monitoring Centre
In Poland there is neither an internet portal nor an institution for employers responsible for monitoring the legislation process of regulations that determine the rules for business activity. At present employers  learn about changes in the law mainly from mass media or simply through the grapevine, usually with delay.



33 bln PLN for Polish economy thanks to the housing sector



In 2014, the housing industry directly generated 17.4 bln PLN for the economy. Moreover, the sector brought an additional, indirect contribution to the GDP at a level of 14 bln PLN, and the households caused an induction effect of 33 bln PLN in income – these are the main conclusions of a report prepared by the consulting company PwC and the Polish Association of Developers.


All in all, the value of VAT, PIT and CIT paid by the housing sector is 11-12 bln PLN. According to data from 2014, they constituted over 4.5 percent of the state budget’s tax income – comments Konrad Płochocki, director general of the Association.


The report entitled “Analysis of the impact of the housing industry on Polish economy” was prepared at the end of August by PwC with the participation of the Polish Association of Developers.
