Heart conditions are a disease of affluence of the XXI century and the most common reason for absence at work. Every year, over 650 000 employees go on sick leave due to heart conditions. Employers of Poland have always been engaged in promoting a healthy lifestyle. On the occasion of World Heart Day, Employers of Poland were visited by Tom Rutlin, nordic walking pioneer and creator of exerstriding – total body walking, and Piotr Kowalski, a pioneer of both nordic walking and exerstriding in Poland. Together, they explained how to walk with poles and demonstrated the sport in action.
