After the coming into force of the act on the Social Dialog Council and other social dialog council institutions, Employers of Poland have appointed plenipotentiaries who will be tasked with coordinating the establishment of the Voivodeship Social Dialog Councils and initiating their works. A meeting devoted to issues related to the voivodeship councils was called at the offices of the Organization.
Andrzej Malinowski, President of Employers of Poland, announced that such meetings will be held once in a quarter and be a fixture of the cooperation with regions. The aim is to strengthen relations and exchange information between regional structures and the headquarters of the Organization.
Plenipotentiaries have been appointed in every voivodeship and their first job will be to negotiate the number of representatives of Employers of Poland in each voivodeship council. According to the relevant act, the number of representatives may vary between regions as it is to be decided by employers and employees.
In some voivodeships such negotiations, as well as the election of the first chairman, have already taken place. However, there are regions were a return to dialog may prove difficult. Participants have also drawn attention to potential conflicts between the marshalls and voivodes. The inauguration of the voivodeship councils, their substantive activities, planned initiatives and budgets were also discussed.
