Legislation Monitoring Centre
In Poland there is neither an internet portal nor an institution for employers responsible for monitoring the legislation process of regulations that determine the rules for business activity. At present employers  learn about changes in the law mainly from mass media or simply through the grapevine, usually with delay.



Are you an entrepreneur? Come visit ZUS



We would like to invite you to take advantage of the programs and support instruments offered by ZUS for entrepreneurs, as well as participate in numerous seminars, consultations and the expertise of invited experts.


This year, the open days will be held under the “ZUS for business” motto. The aforementioned programs and instruments include:


  • The IPP interactive program – on the 23rd November at the Polish Radio website (www.polskieradio.pl/gospodarka), a webinar devoted entirely to the program will be unveiled. The most important issues related to it will be presented in short movie clips. Participants will have an opportunity to ask questions to experts. Questions will be sent to a dedicated e-mail address and the replies will be published at the radio website as soon as possible;


  • digital  sick leave (e-ZLA) – free of charge PUE ZUS profiles may be created in ZUS offices, enabling users a.o. to get e-ZLA digital sick leaves starting January 2016;


  • advisory services for exemptions and limitation – in selected offices, such as the II ZUS Department at Podskarbińska street 25 in Warsaw and at the Warszawa-Praga Inspectorate, consultants will advise on exemptions and appropriate form of an installment scheme;


  • co-financing for companies – the improvement of working conditions and work safety. You may file an application for co-financing to maintain employees job activity in any ZUS office.


As part of the Entrepreneur’s Week, ZUS will organize the following free seminars:


You are starting a business? Learn your rights and obligations. At the seminar, you will learn how to meet obligations related to running a business, a.o. the regulations on registration, insurance, contributions and ZUS tools for preparing insurance documentation.


  • Data quality and payment settlement – the seminar will touch upon a.o. the impact of filling and correcting payment settlement forms;


  • Benefit payment – the topics of the right to benefits on grounds of illness and maternity will be discussed;


Apart from that, ZUS (the II Department in Warsaw and its offices in Praga, Wołomin, Legionowo, Otwock and Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki) offers additional free seminars:


  • Social insurance regulations and the payment of contributions to the Labour Fund, the Guaranteed Employee Benefit Fund and the Bridging pension Fund;


  • Rules of calculating the basis of pension contributions, including the contributions of those on parental leave;


  • Forms of mployment and employers’ obligations resulting from them.
