Legislation Monitoring Centre
In Poland there is neither an internet portal nor an institution for employers responsible for monitoring the legislation process of regulations that determine the rules for business activity. At present employers  learn about changes in the law mainly from mass media or simply through the grapevine, usually with delay.

The EESC discusses international representation of the eurozone

On Monday December 21st, Employers of Poland will discuss the international representation of the Eurozone at an EESC meeting in Brussels.

The first session will Focus on opinions on recently issued documents:

  • the EC plan for a more cohesive representation of the eurozone on international forums;

  • the motion to accept the Council’s decision to assign resources for a permanent representation of the Eurozone to be established at the IMF.

The European parliament has also called for the representation to be strengthened.

The problem is particularly pressing in the case of precisely the IMF – an institution which, due to its loan instruments and supervisory responsibilities, is the main institution of global economic governance.  The Commission has presented a parallel legislative motion assigning the funds for the establishment of the aforementioned representation.

The successes of the eurozone have to be transmitted on the international stage, so as to strengthen the zones position in the global financial system. Employers of Poland are represented by Director of the Research and Analyses Centre Jakub Jasiński.
