Legislation Monitoring Centre
In Poland there is neither an internet portal nor an institution for employers responsible for monitoring the legislation process of regulations that determine the rules for business activity. At present employers  learn about changes in the law mainly from mass media or simply through the grapevine, usually with delay.

Positive GUS figures on unemployment

Most recent GUS figures show that the registered unemployment rate in March was 9.5 percent. – This is a very good showing, better by 0.1 percentage points than the tentative estimation of the Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy. The unemployment rate is now falling quicker after all, indicating a sizeable upturn on the labour market which has not been dampened even by the slight downturn experienced by the Polish economy as a whole since the turn of the year – says Łukasz Kozłowski, expert of Employers of Poland.

The April registered unemployment rate is also lower than in the best month of last year. The temporary increase caused by the winter downturn is behind us. Moreover, one can also hope that unemployment will drop further starting in June, due to the commencement of seasonal works.
