Changes introduced to the freedom of economic activity act are beneficial for entrepreneurs – states Piotr Wołejko, expert of Employers of Poland. He adds that controversy may arise due to the obligation to have a property title for the company office and the consequences of failure to provide a proof of it. The changes in question came into force on May 19th.
– One should remember why this amendment was introduced: criminals used addresses of private persons as addresses of companies extorting money from contractors and clients. Changes are aimed not only at eliminating this phenomenon, but also at improving the trustworthiness of CEIDG – the register of entrepreneurs. Its reliability is extremely important both for contractors and clients – emphasizes Piotr Wołejko.
Other changes consist in making it easier for entrepreneurs to meet the formal requirements of the register quicker and for some things to be dealt with almost automatically – such as moving relevant data between different institutions or correcting obvious mistakes in paper forms.
The expert of Employers of Poland stressed that the changes introduced by the amendment, particularly the efforts to improve the reliability of the register, have to be assessed positively.
