Innovation as the key to success in business

Innovation is one of the key competitive advantages, and its importance will only increase in the coming years.

A possibility to take advantage of lower labour costs is ending. Any reserves still underlie in work output and, in this particular case, in innovation. – The notion that innovations simply have to be associated with significant costs has been lingering on for ages. That's not true - sometimes very simple solutions, which can be introduced on the spot, are enough – says Piotr Wolejko, an expert of the Employers of Poland.

However, innovation should be ensured with favourable legal and regulatory environment, for example, there should be introduced more income tax relief for companies investing in innovation or there should be created conditions for the functioning of the venture capital funds and the like. Moreover, it is necessary to encourage cooperation between business and science.
