There has never been a train like this one! Today, German transporter NFB received a LINK train, produced by PESa, first ever Polish train to be certified for use on German rails. The presentation of LINK is one of the accompanying events of the celebrations of the 25th anniversary of the signing of the treaty on economic cooperation and friendly neighborly relations between Poland and Germany.
– This is an important step towards implementing the railway package passed by the European Union – said Deputy PM and Minister of Economic Development Mateusz Morawiecki in Berlin, where PESA presented the LINK train to German transporter NEB.
– I am glad that Poland may finally export advanced products to Germany, rather than football players alone – he said, adding that he wishes both companies that their trains may always be full. – Let us hope that this will be a start of many more projects – he stated.
The train will be used on the route between Berlin and Kostrzyń.
Apart from minister Morawiecki, the event at the Berlin Friedrichstrasse Station was attended by President of Employers of Poland Andrzej Malinowski, Deputy Chancellor and Minister of Economy Sigmar Gabriel and PESA Chairman Tomasz Zaboklicki.
The contract with NEB is a great success for PESA, member of Employers of Poland, because LINK will be the first Polish train certified for use on German rails and only the second such train produced outside Germany.
