The Polish Institute of International Affairs estimates that Brexit may mean a return ticket to Poland for 400 000 emigrants. Other experts say that our compatriots will take a shorter route to Norway.
Poles are concerned about the results of tomorrow’s referendum. 62 percent of emigrants living in Great Britain are worried about the risk of Britain leaving the EU – shows an IBRiS survey commissioned by PAP. This is hardly a surprise, as potential consequences for our compatriots may be very significant.
– Data provided by the Polish Chamber of Commerce shows that there are 40 000 Polish companies in Britain. For them, Brexit would mean serious obstacles in economic activity, as well as in establishing new companies – says Dariusz J. Olszewski, expert of Employers of Poland in socioeconomic affairs.
