Legislation Monitoring Centre
In Poland there is neither an internet portal nor an institution for employers responsible for monitoring the legislation process of regulations that determine the rules for business activity. At present employers  learn about changes in the law mainly from mass media or simply through the grapevine, usually with delay.



Plenary session of the Social Dialog Council


On June 27th, a plenary session of the Social Dialog Council, chaired by Piotr Duda – Chairman of “Solidarność” – was held.


According to the agenda, representatives of employers and employees passed the following resolutions:


  • resolution no. 10 on the problems of the Polish cement industry resulting from uneven competition with Russian and Belarusian producers,
  • resolution no. 11 on the MP-prepared draft of an amendment to the act on job and social rehabilitation and the employment of handicapped persons,
  • resolution no. 12 on the negative economic and social consequences of the implementation of the act from September 16th 2011 on the management of treasury-owned agricultural estate,
  • no. 13 on the draft of an amendment to the act on employment promotion (draft from April 29th 2016).


It was announced that social partners have not agreed on a common position on the valorization of pensions in 2017.  Therefore, the valorization rates will be established by the Council of Ministers within 21 days of the end of negotiations.


The next session of the Social Dialog Council is scheduled for July 14th.
