Increasing minimum wage is a wrong decision for the Polish economy says the President of Employers of Poland

Cross ministerial discussions are taking place in regards to the legislative project on minimum wage. According to the project, in 2017, companies will have to provide its employers which are on contract of employment, minimum wage of 2,000 zlotys brutto. Employers of Poland are against this rate – President of Employers of Poland Andrzej Malinowski for “Dziennik Gazeta Prawna”.

We are against implenentation of minimum wage of 2,000 zlotys brutto. From the development of Polish economy perspective, this is a wrong decision as it is based on misleading assumptions. Moreover, the rate issue was not discussed during the Social Dialogue Council, so we can consider that in terms of propaganda – said Andrzej Malinowski, President of the Employers of Poland.
