Polish companies investing abroad need more security – Vicepresident Piotr Kamiński at the XXVI Economic Forum

08-09-2016

Polish companies are increasingly active in investing abroad and grow their companies there. Is this beneficial for Polish economy if we need capital for investment domestically? How can the state help companies in their international expansion? – this was the question addressed at the debate “Expansion and growth opportunities for Polish companies abroad”.

Foreign expansion is the key to the growth of Polish companies. They expect the state to support them with economic diplomacy and provide them with instruments lowering financial risk.

– First and foremost, the state should not be a nuisance. Business can clearly take care of itself in many respects. Often, overregulation can only hurt – reminded Piotr Kamiński, Vicepresident of Employers of Poland. – However, more instruments to secure transactions would surely be welcome. Many entrepreneurs who want to cooperate with international partners hit the wall of very long payment deadlines, which threaten their liquidity. Solutions improving the security of such transactions would come in handy – stressed Kamiński.
