– In a year to year perspective, prices are falling the slowest since December 2015, and their dynamics have increased by 0.3 percentage point compared to August. Announcing a return of inflation significantly higher than zero on the basis of today’s GUS figures would undoubtedly be premature. Deflation is smaller and smaller thanks to base effects, and month to month prices are standing still – comments Łukasz Kozłowski, expert of Employers of Poland.
In the coming months we may be dealing with a further extinguishing of deflation, given that fuel prices will increase – though in light of the global low inflation climate one may not expect a rapid escalation of these tendencies.
