Legislation Monitoring Centre
In Poland there is neither an internet portal nor an institution for employers responsible for monitoring the legislation process of regulations that determine the rules for business activity. At present employers  learn about changes in the law mainly from mass media or simply through the grapevine, usually with delay.

Lately in our country, one could observe chaos caused by either an excess or a shortage of words. Unfortunately, the audience was most sensitive – domestic and foreign investors – President Andrzej Malinowski writes in “Rzeczpospolita”.


It is common knowledge that investments like stable foundations, predictability and a friendly environment. Clearly, investors look for opportunities far from political turmoil. Quite recently, one could hear that the value of shares of energy companies will be increased so that they may provide higher income for the budget. Quite good news for the budget indeed – but will investors be happy? They are unlikely to send flowers to the authors of this idea. Those who only started to think of investing in our country will most likely do an about face – he writes.


– It would be worthwhile to consider these missteps in communication regarding treasury-owned companies and decide whether the voting public, which does not necessarily register the message, is more important than economic issues. These actions could have made Orson Welles, but they surely would not make him invest even a cent in Poland – concludes the President of Employers of Poland.
