The Employers of Poland support the amendment to the regulations on working time

20-12-2012

The Ministry of Labour and Social Policy presented the long-awaited by entrepreneurs draft amendment to the labour code regulations on working time. - We welcome the initiative of the ministry as it introduces the flexible solutions of which we have long called for - say the experts of the Employers of Poland.

According to the Employers of Poland, due to the economic downturn and the worsening situation on the labour market, there is the need for precise legal instruments that will facilitate flexible management of working time, improve the competitiveness of companies, but also make it possible to protect jobs. - Therefore, in our opinion, it is essential that the proposed changes come into effect as soon as possible - say the experts of the Employers of Poland.

The project of the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy provides for introduction permanently of two solutions into the Labour Code that have worked during the period of the so-called anti-crisis law. The point is that there should be a possibility to apply the 12-month accounting periods, and flexible working hours. According to the Employers of Poland, when our economy slows down and the rate of unemployment will probably exceed 13% at the end of the year, it is worthwhile to take advantage of the positive experience connected with the so-called anti-crisis law.

The solutions can be implemented only by a collective agreement or an agreement. According to the Employers of Poland, such a regulation will benefit both sides and strengthen the dialogue at the level of the workplace.
