Legislation Monitoring Centre
In Poland there is neither an internet portal nor an institution for employers responsible for monitoring the legislation process of regulations that determine the rules for business activity. At present employers  learn about changes in the law mainly from mass media or simply through the grapevine, usually with delay.



Unemployment is getting lower


As indicated by tentative estimations of the Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy, in September the registered unemployment rate dropped to 8.4 percent, the lowest level since June 1991.


– For several months the unemployment rate has been setting subsequent record lows. Naturally, this has an impact on the improved situation of both the employed and those who look for work – contracts of employment are more popular and the competition for employees among employers is increasingly fierce. At the same time, wage pressure still is not particularly strong, although sustained deflation means that the real dynamics of work-generated income – comments Łukasz Kozłowski, expert of Employers of Poland.
