I am under the impression that this idea is subordinate to social policy and developed with no regard for economic policy. This is a big mistake – such is Andrzej Malinowski’s assessment of the unified tax in an interview with “Rzeczpospolita”.
What do you find most striking about the concept of a unified tax?
In principle, the idea of substituting different public payments with a single one appears noble and interesting. It may significantly simplify and decrease companies’ administrative costs. However, it should be state clearly: the direction of the works on the tax reform indicate that its ultimate goal is fiscal in nature.
These change are supposed to be neutral for the budget.
“Neutral for the budget” means “leading to increased burdens for entrepreneurs”. We have decisively protest against it. Higher burdens will discourage entrepreneurs from developing economic activity. A unified tax in this form will undoubtedly have a negative impact on the dynamics and quality of economic growth.
