Legislation Monitoring Centre
In Poland there is neither an internet portal nor an institution for employers responsible for monitoring the legislation process of regulations that determine the rules for business activity. At present employers  learn about changes in the law mainly from mass media or simply through the grapevine, usually with delay.

Unified tax is a good idea, but it should not discourage entrepreneurs

– Tax issues are very important for all citizens, so all communication on this topic should be clear and transparent. However, the news we have recently been given is merely a preview of proper information, a handful of details, and only cause confusion – President of Employers of Poland writes for “Rzeczpospolita”.

The government has made it clear that the new tax will be neutral for the budget. Our experiences indicate that it surely will not be neutral for taxpayers. Business is all too well aware that nothing is for free. It has long been accepted that those who generate profit – entrepreneurs – are a good source of money. Hence our concern that the changes will hit entrepreneurs, particularly small and medium enterprises – he points out.

– Employers of Poland have always fought for taxes to be simplified, so the notion of a unified tax is very noble indeed, but we cannot – and I cannot stress this enough – scare entrepreneurs into moving abroad or into the grey market and even into moving out of business altogether. Let us remember that they are the flywheel of Polish economy – Malinowski concludes.
