The European Commission's survey of shale gas is biased and discriminates against the supporters of the fuel. The Employers of Poland issued an appeal to the MEPs (Members of the European Parliament) for an improvement of mistakes and a repetition of the process of public consultations.
Since 20 December 2012, on the European Commission's website there has been available a survey that is used as a tool for public consultations conducted into a possible direction of the development work on new regulations concerning shale gas which should (or should not) be taken by the Commission. The consultations will be carried out until 23 March 2013.
The design of the survey both through the selection and content of the questions undermines the credibility of future results. Therefore, the Employers of Poland issued an appeal to the MEPs for taking action for a repetition of public consultations. The fact that the survey was not available in all the EU languages for 5 weeks - despite the fact that such assurances had been given earlier - is an additional argument.
