Legislation Monitoring Centre
In Poland there is neither an internet portal nor an institution for employers responsible for monitoring the legislation process of regulations that determine the rules for business activity. At present employers  learn about changes in the law mainly from mass media or simply through the grapevine, usually with delay.

The rise in unemployment is no surprise

- Poland's economy is in a downturn that will intensify in the coming months. Therefore, an increase of 13.4% in unemployment is no surprise to us - Piotr Rogowiecki, an expert of the Employers of Poland, comments the latest data of GUS (Central Statistical Office of Poland).

- Early in the autumn we already signalled that at the end of 2012 the unemployment rate would hover around 13.5%. It is retail, which in December fell by 3.6 % in real terms, that is one of the reasons for the increase in unemployment - says Piotr Rogowiecki, the expert of the Employers of Poland. - The unemployment rate is likely to rise until March and will certainly exceed 14%. The possibility that it will come close to the level of 15% can’t be ruled out - says Piotr Rogowiecki.
