The Employers of Poland welcomed the European Parliament's decision to reject the proposal to withdraw 900 million CO2 emission rights.
The so-called ‘back loading’ was supposed to be an administrative intervention in the European carbon market in order to increase the prices of emission rights. – Nowadays, it is economic growth that must be the absolute priority. Another increase in energy prices would not certainly render a service to the economic growth – emphasizes Piotr Wołejko, an expert of the Employers of Poland. He also mentions that European companies are losing competitiveness on the global market.
