The lack of clear regulations, particularly of the so-called ‘energy tri pack’, hinders investments in the area of renewable energy sources. In response to the needs of entrepreneurs, the Employers of Poland set up the Platform for Renewable Energy Sources. Its chairman is Mariusz Klimczak, the President of the Board of the Bank for Environmental Protection.
The inauguration of the work of the Platform was attended by over 20 representatives of companies from various sectors of the economy who are interested in the subject of renewable energy sources. The meeting was attended among others by Waldemar Pawlak, the President of Polish Economy Congress Foundation. He stressed that in the current legal situation there were no reasons to expand investment in renewable energy on a large scale. Therefore, it is essential to adopt the so-called ‘energy tri pack’ as soon as possible. He expressed his hope that the announcement of the Ministry of Economy concerning the relevant solutions’ coming into force on 1 January 2014 will be implemented because the continued lack of decision and control brings big losses for the economic development of Poland.
“The coalition Eco-Poland” - appointed on June 6 this year on the initiative of Andrzej Malinowski, the President of the Employers of Poland – operates as part of the Platform.
