The Employers of Poland are in favour of lowering labour costs, but also pay attention to the fact that occupational health medical examination is a very important part of health prevention of the Poles. Therefore, it should not be eliminated or even limited in any scope.
The first reading of the draft amendments to the parliamentary Labour Code took place in the Sejm (Parliament); it aims to reduce the need for occupational health medical check-up in some positions.
According to the experts of the Employers of Poland, it is worth debating about, e.g. the introduction of funding the medical examinations in micro - and small enterprises from the sources originating not from the employer.
According to the Employers of Poland, occupational health is replacing the ailing prevention in Poland. Experience shows that in the course of occupational health medical check-up they manage to detect many chronic diseases in their early stages. This in turn significantly reduces any subsequent long-term treatment costs of the National Health Fund.
The Employers of Poland consider it necessary to make changes to the regulations concerning occupational health. They should be related to the overall reform of the health system.
