Legislation Monitoring Centre
In Poland there is neither an internet portal nor an institution for employers responsible for monitoring the legislation process of regulations that determine the rules for business activity. At present employers  learn about changes in the law mainly from mass media or simply through the grapevine, usually with delay.

The parliamentary work on a new anti-crisis law draws out

The work on the bill, which is supposed to help maintain jobs in the companies affected by the economic slowdown, has been already lasting for over half a year.

The Ministry of Labour and Social Policy ensured that the regulation would come into force in July. That has not happened yet. - We are concerned that the protracted legislative process will make the law turn out to be belated – says Violetta Żukowska, an expert of the Employers of Poland.

The first reading of the bill took place on Wednesday, July 24, however, the MPs decided to refer it to a special subcommittee. - This means that the parliamentary work will draw out a bit more. As a consequence, the parliament will be able to adopt these provisions not earlier than after the holidays, and entrepreneurs and workers will wait for help till autumn - says Żukowska.
